Ok.. question: If she is doing a fundraiser. wouldn't the idea be to do services (at regular prices) and all monies raised be donated to the cause? Why should she only do one toe per client? I mean, if she were doing them for free, then yeah. but I was kinda thinking that everyone there would be doing goods and/or services at regular prices and donating the money to the cause. But, either way-I definitely feel like it is still smart networking! I would hand out cards, menus of services and prices, everything I could related to my salon! Smilz.. Premise is cancer never sleeps and neither will we till we find a cure! Ok so I was asked to go (and of course I will) but there is also an opportunity to do some fundraising there. After the dinner, "parade" and speeches...people will then go into the gym and stay at their "campsite". It is there that you can fundraise...all money going to the cause...I thought I might do some nail art, or polishing...or maaayybe some bling toes. There will be like 600 people FROM THE COMMUNITY there.....I thought I would pass out some cards at the same time...do you think that is ....how shall I say it, "taking advantage of the situation?" or smart networking? I don't want to come across as the first way. I used to be well known in the community, active in the schools PTA president, on committees, cub scout secretary, pre-school teacher...etc...but my kids are grown up now and I had moved away for awhile. This will be the first time I am seeing alot of people in a long time. I need some suggestions on what to do and how to present it.
