What I find when I'm going to use a gel (clear or gel polish) over acrylic, is
that I finish file the acrylic thinner than usual to make up for the thickness
that the gel will add. Therefore no chicklet nails.
That's what has been working for me.

This was Pand W I did that peeled. If I did three coats her nails would have
been "chop shop chicklet" style!!!! LOL
Just did not work for her. Maybe on someone else.
I was going to play with my nails this weekend but we wound up with a huge
water leak all over my new finished basement and part of the new kitchen.
Seems the contractor for the kitchen people made a HUGE mistake in the water
line for the fridge.
So maybe later today I can play. I have two clients on my day off!!!
I do appreciate the input.
Buenos dias,
Lynnette

Thanks for the replies everyone! Great minds think alike as usual! Its so
great to have you all to confer with!

As to the question about SOG's over acrylic, I've found that if you use three
VERY THIN coats (clear OR soak off gel polish) I don't have any problem with
SOG chipping. (On finger nails that is...)

Rhonda, do the same, I file off, don't soak off. So easy to file,
zero damage to nail, diana from indiana
