my own nails are very thin and damaged (from the chemo) and I have had OPI's
I'm not really a waitress SOG over my natural nails for almost 2 weeks now. I
did "extend" them a bit...to make a completed nail...about the length of a
nailbiter's nail...and I have had no problems at all..

I’ll just throw in my 2 cents here….Iapplied Axxium’s I’m Not Really A Waitress
on a new client who hasvery long natural nails. The instructions that come
with the product saythat it should only be used on natural nails that are no
longer than 1/8 “from the smile line, that natural nails are in good condition,
and naturalnails are not overly thin, flexible or damaged. If longerthan
that, they recommend the gel polish should be used over a foundation ofAxxium
gels. Of course, I read that part after I’d already sent herhome after the
service. I didn’t hear from her again for 6 weeksand I was convinced she’d
experienced problems because the nails were toolong for that type of
application.

When she returned 6 weeks later, thepolish was all still intact. Some of you
have seen the picture I postedof her 6-week nails on my Facebook page. Her own
nails are very strongand thick, definitely not flexible or thin, and I’m
convinced this preventedany issues.

Lynnette,
It should work fine on those clients...when significant length is mentioned
Ithink it's more about extending the natural nail to give it length.

Alice,
Yes- it was the SOG that peeled off the acrylic.
I realize we cannot use the SOG to extend, but Deb said not as an overlay
forsignificant length. I have clients with very long natural nails that I
wouldlove to do this on but want to be certain they will be fine.
I think I will do a FREEBIE for my regular clients for the first time to seehow
they fare.
I appreciate all the input.
Buenos dias,
Lynnette

Lynnette,
It really does depend on the wearer. But as a general rule SOG doesn'twork
well for sculpting long nails. It's wonderful as an overlay on nailssuch as
Deb's. Some SOG's do have building properties to them BUT againnot for adding
significant length, more so for sculpting an "active"length nail.
When you say you didn't have success with using SOG over ac because
itpeeled...are you referring to SOG polish?

Okay- then this is confusing.
*some companies say you can use their SOG over acrylic and gel. -- I tried
thisand it peeled.
*Deb-you have long nails and are wearing them with no problems?!?
*what would you consider significant length NOT good for the SOG?
Buenos dias,

SOG's are more flexible for sure.. somemore than others.. SOG's are not really
made to be an overlay for anysignificant length..
