I do agree with you LaShaun, and have taken pricing into consideration when trying to decide if I want to order the starter kit. I also strive to make $30-40/hour - my main concern is with my p/w acrylic clients (95% of my business) - they leave and come back looking great after 2 weeks, no lifting, and nails still shiny from the gel topcoat I use. I won't be able to convince them to wear MINX, let alone, *pay more* for it, if it won't last almost as long. Some of my PW clients DO wear polish on occasion, and when they come back, they have wear. I'd say 10 days would be what I'm looking for, but I have to get REALLY good at this application and NO curling or buckling. I have learned that stretching the MINX is a no-no, and I've also learned that keeping the MINX warm during the entire application is very important. I was using a blow dryer, and the MINX would be cooled before I got to the other side of the nail (working on myself, perfecting the one side, then moving to the other) - and that is where I had the creases.
I really want to get an infrared bulb and perhaps practice application with the clear sheets I was given. When I was a brand new tech, I would do my nails, polish them, then FILE them because you could see ALL imperfections with polish on - with MINX, I think the hardest application will be the CHROME (gold or silver) and I want that mastered! I'm determined and I think I could definitely increase my income - even with the teenagers here in my small town! If it's 20-30 min per app/$45-55 per set, that's a nice little chunk of change :) Thanks everyone, for being patient with my questions - I love this stuff, it's absolutely STRIKING - wore it 2 days and got stopped more times than I can count!
