I would agree that making sure all the nonliving cuticle is off the nail is
probably key to using any product. There are some cool demo videos where the
educator uses various little tools to get the excess cuticle off, and it always
amazes me how much there is that you really can't see!!!
That being said, the YN people on here should be able to help you make sure
your
application is right. I am here to mention that maybe YN just isn't for you. I
have found that I can use all acid based primer systems well, and I also
do well
with CND. I have tried YN and I had lifting... I have nearly zero lifting with
Tammy Taylor, which is why it is my product of choice. I am not bashing or
promoting any brand, what I am saying is that each person has a natural way of
doing nails and you have to find the right system to complement that. I really
really wanted to like YN because I love the company.... :)
I'm excited for you, because once this gets figured out, you will be a happy
tech for the long haul!

Subject: NailTech:: lifting

Why do my acrylic nails have some lifting around the cuticle.  I am very
careful
about my prep work. I use y/n. It isn't on all of them. Is product to wet or to
dry?  Then I get fill lines when I file.  I haven't been able to get rid of
those awful fill lines.  That is my one desire to be able to have them look
just
like the 1st time they were done! Please help!
