GREAT timing, Sherri! I was JUST about to make a similar plea here! A combo flourescent/LED lamp would be in my future too-- if that's all they can produce, I'd REALLY like a universal LED. I THINK I understand why the LED lamps are not universal for multiple gel lines-- if my understanding of the light tech is right, it shouldn't be outside the realm of possibility to produce a fully LED lamp that works in a broader wavelength range. Either way-- I was given the opportunity to test drive an LED lamp for about 6 weeks. Got the lamp today and INSTANT fail. It will NOT cure my primary gel! which is just a standard all-in-one gel that cures in 2 minutes with the standard tunnel lamps. I use gels from 8 different manufacturers-- any lamp that wins space on my table MUST cure every gel I use. There is no amount of "neato-keenness" that will persuade me to invest money into another lamp that can't hack my demands of it.
