This very thinking is what is making me consider finding a manufacturer to design a foot bath with me.... Anyhoo.... My old IBD Jet 5000 lamp is 2 handed and has a light bulb and a fan.... I have had the damn thing for 12 years. I don't use it much anymore since it only has 8w bulbs, but it has separate switches on top for UV only or UV/Heat/Fan and the timer buttons 30 sec, 1 min, 2 min, and 3 min. So here is my thinking... a lamp that has BOTH 9w UV bulbs AND the LED bulbs? The button you hit on top turns on the one you want and then you press the timer button.... LED's are so tiny, you can't tell me you can fit a big azz incandescent bulb in that jet 5000 and you can't fit some itty bitty LED's in a traditional UV lamp... especially 2 handed!!!! Hmmph. What would the industry do without us? LOL....we're just out here thinkin stuff up.... :) Michelle Cordes, Owner/Licensed Nail Technician The Nail Spa in Silverdale, Washington "The spa for your hands and feet since 1997" www.myspace.com/thenailspa ----- Original Message ---- From: Veronica <[email protected]> To: NailTech <[email protected]> Sent: Mon, August 2, 2010 3:46:18 PM Subject: NailTech:: Re: LED & UV lamps me too : ) On Aug 2, 3:59 pm, [email protected] wrote: > Ok, nail manufacturers, who is going to be the first to come out with a combo >LED/UV light so we don't have to choose one system over another?? > > We can't afford to buy a lamp for every system out there, especially at the >current prices! > > Also, many of us are space challenged so two separate lights is a waste of >precious space, not to mention time to switch out the lights for different >products. > > Then there are those of us who have two lamps for hands and another for the >pedi area! > > I'm proposing a light with both LED and UV capabilities.
