I was thinking the same thing Anna. What if my clients kept buying these 
groupons all year long. Maybe a three month span.

Sounds like that would be better for a salon not an independant business person 
in my opinion and the time frame is way to long cause a year frfom now your 
books could be so full your turning away clients then you have these cert 
people 
monoplizing your time instead of paying clients....I say do something simular 
on 
a smaller scale and have a short expiration date so they use them right away to 
have people in yor chair while you need the business....one thing I've noticed 
is that the busier you are and less available you become people want to be in 
your chair so even if your doing your friends and family at a no to low 
discounted price and people think that all of them are your paying clients they 
will want to sit where its most popular...even if you did terrible nails if 
your 
popular they want it...proven fact of life sad but true!
