Hi NailTechs!

I am new to this group and a novice in the world of manicures so
hoping that some of you can offer advice. Can anyone recommend a
good, relatively inexpensive non-toxic line of polishes?

I am working on a project in NYC that is a collaboration between nail-
techs, artists and activists which attempts to address some of the
problems of the nail salon industry in the city: poor ventilation,
exposure to solvents, inadequate pay, exploitation of people based on
immigration status, etc. The idea is to found a sort of nail salon/
gallery/ advocacy center in the lower east side and drum up some
support and funding for advocacy groups in the neighborhood. If any
of you have suggestions or would like to talk about the project
further please contact me and I would be thrilled to send you more
info.

I am asking the specific question about the non-toxic supplies because
we are in the finals for a grant to realize the project and are making
up a budget. I notice that most of the non-toxic lines of polish are
significantly more expensive. Does anyone have experience with one
that performs well and is relatively cheap?

Many Thanks!
Arlen
