Ha! Thank you all for your responses and sorry my initial question
about "non-toxic" was so naive and undefined. To be clear I am not a
nail tech just trying to learn more about the industry and thanks to
those of you who directly emailed me longer responses. It sounds like
from the couple of in-depth responses I received that the consensus is
that it is not so much the chemical make-up of the polish but the safe
handling and proper training of the people using it.

I now define "non-toxic" as 3-free and understand that many companies
are going that way. The lists easily available online include: Avon,
Butter London, Dashing Diva “Extra Virgin”, HoneyBee Gardens, Lippmann
Collection (newer collections), NailTini, NARS (new formula), Nocti,
Nubar, OPI (Australia collection & newer), Revlon, Sally Hansen, Vinyl
Deborah Lippmann, Zoya

Do folks think the 3-free work as well as other colors and can you
drink them? (joking) Seriously I would like to hear people's thoughts
about toxins in polish as well as use of solvents. I am no health
nut... I am a printmaker and expose myself to more solvents: acetone,
turpentine, california wash, etc than is healthy all the time
unfortunately. Also if anyone knows where to find good guidelines for
ventilation of a nail salon I would much appreciate it...
Many Thanks, Arlen
