I own a pipeless bowl in my studio and simply love it I have had it in use for
over a year now...I clean it with fantastic between clients and every week once
a week I take it apart and clean all the parts soaking in a sanitizing solution
I will follow up with the name of it so you can get it it was made by a foot
doctor specially for chairs. I used to use the bleach and cascade mix but it
was starting to mess up my little fan so started looking for alternatives.
Remember with a pipeless bowl NO water ever sits in jets or any place to form
bacteria much better then any bowl I have used in over 16 years.

Try to go on the main aveda web site to find what products they use for the
hand and foot.

Sounds like a great salon best of luck and makes lots of $$$$$$!

Congratulations Karen! Sounds like a wonderful place to work! And also
congrats on (I'm assuming) passing your state boards for Texas !!

As for the pedi thrones, do you know what brand they are? Might be worth a
try to Google them and see if you can find out any cleaning info that way.

OK Gals....you know me. I may be on the cutting edge of the nail industry
because of you guys...but I've been rockin' it old school with the pedi
bowls! lol

I just got hired by a fun, edgy salon and the owner has pedi thrones. She
says they are pipeless...and there is nothing to clean behind the screw off
cap of the jets. Is that right? If I unscrew the cap/screens...there is a
round turbine that is a magnet that clamps itself on to a metal thingie
behind each one....and "occasionally you can pop those off and wipe them
down." Is that all there is? She says all I have to do is spray the bowl
with a disinfectant spray and wipe it out....and unscrew the the screens and
be sure there is no debris behind them. She was given no documentation when
she bought the chairs so there is nothing for me to read....She has had them
about a year and has had 4 nailtechs in there and the last one gave a 2 week
notice a few days ago and then left today when the owner w
