kneading a hunk of WHITE CHEESE.
About any light colored clay will work to pull the dirt/grime/black gunk out
of all the creases and cracks in his hands, but the oils in cheese will also
rehydrate and condition his skin.
The cheese will be inedible afterward though. :-)
Follow this up with a paraffin dip and a long massage with some Glysolid
(X-BF is a firefighter, he used to stop by the salon occassionally just to dip
and grab the glysolid, swore the glysolid was the only thing that helped with
his hands!)
Blue Cross cuticle remover will also help with tough stains, but it's not
somethig he can just steep in. Start with the cheese, then get a manicure.

I had an auto mechanic call me and he wanted to know what I could recommend
for his hands. They are very rough, dry, and he can never get them clean
enough. He said he has alot of small cracks in them. Any suggestions? Thanks!
