Ohio has had "human trafficking" problems in the past. Our particular area used to be flooded with "massage parlors". We had probably 10 in a 5 mile radius. Men would come from all over and far away to visit these hell holes! Well, last year they closed them down! For good! Was it because they were offering "non legal" massages? Nooo... Was it because of the money laundering? Noooo... Was it because they weren't licensed? Nooooo... It was because of the human trafficking! gawd! Even though they took all the women to a shelter, and offered them counseling, legal help, housing, etc. NOT ONE of them took them up on any of the services offered to help them break free of this horrible lifestyle! Were they worried about other family members? What would happen to them if they tried to get away? I'm not sure.. the whole thing makes me sick to think people could treat people like that.. And now the people who are NOT involved in human trafficking have to take classes on it? Outrageous! I will go, I will learn about it, I hope they teach us what to DO about it! Sickening...
