As with any thread on NANOG, that one probably had too much noise. However, unlike so much of what is on NANOG these days, it was a thread that had actual operational relevance -- one which, if I'd been trying to troubleshoot network issues that day, rather than being on vacation from a job where I don't do much day to day operations, would have saved me a bunch of time and effort. It's the sort of thread that made me decide I really needed to be on the NANOG list ten or so years ago. I see a lot of claims about what the NANOG list isn't. I'm curious about what the mailing list committee thinks the list is. I've tried reading the list charter on the NANOG website, but seeing that it's "for the exchange of technical information," or "for discussion of relevant technical issues" isn't helping me understand. -Steve _______________________________________________ Nanog-futures mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.nanog.org/mailman/listinfo/nanog-futures
