1. Nobody wants to pay for USENET access anymore , unless you're ripping
software/media.
2. Free USENET access generally has poor retention and often misses large
chunks of messages.

It's just extra work for more limited and inconsistent access , compared to
the puck mailing lists which have operated very well for decades now, only
seeing a recent hiccup because of a server death.
