He started out releasing fixes/mods to SLS, which was a commercial distribution; the maker asked him to stop, so he started Slackware as a distinct distribution. Yggdrasil was also before Slackware IIRC, as were TAMU and MCC Interim. -- Chris Adams <c...@cmadams.net>
