I agree that we should perhaps decide not to commit this patch at all ...

But if the Delete task should continue to throw exceptions when you try to
delete a non-existing file or directory, then indeed a new mechanism should
be provided that allows you to check if a file or direftory exists.

Not everyone wants their build process to fail when to clean-up a directory
that doesn't need to be cleaned up.  But I understand that some people do
want that behaviour, but I think everyone agrees that both should be
possible.

At this moment, you can't use NAnt to delete a directory and only report an
error if it can't be deleted (not if it was already removed or never
existed at all), unless it's possible uses a fileset but I doubt that ...
I'll try it later on ...
