Would you please put out a notice that the St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Council
is not the Mohawk Nation and can't ever be.  The tribal council was formed
by NY State and has continually been a factor to try to force, suppress and
wipe out the traditional council who are known as the Mohawk Nation Council
of Chiefs.  As well, the tribal council has no standing with the
traditional Haudenosaune Confederacy (Iroquois) and continually undermine
sovereignty by pretending the tribal council can be the Mohawk Nation when
in fact they are a creation of New York State (Article 8, 1802).  The
tribal council are not the signators or heirs to any treaties and their
system is based on New York State law.  Their jurisdiction is limited to
the "American" portion of the Akwesasne, whereas there are 8 Mohawk
Territories in which the Mohawk Nation Council of Chiefs deal with.
