Thanks for the quick response.  I will study the existing documentation and 
direct my request to the design team.

Integration of the file system at the highest level means that the user 
experience is the file system as far as the user is concerned.  It is this 
final presentation design which I would like to contribute some ideas towards, 
leaving the lower level implementation to those expert at this.
