Also, if possible, mention the file system type, and the folder where you started the search. (It doesn't seem to happen everywhere. When I search in my home folder, using nautilus 3.12 or 3.14, I do see a spinner while the search is in progress: https://i.imgur.com/FylXDAL.png )
