For the last several months, the BJP and their Prime Ministerial candidate Shri
Narendra Modi has been trying to tell the nation that the Indian economy is
down in the dumps.
The truth finally came out today. And YOU are a big part of this.
According to a World Bank report India has displaced Japan to become the
world's third biggest economy in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP).
The 2011 round of the bank's International Comparison Program (ICP)
ranked India after
the US and China. Their last survey in 2005
had placed India in 10th position.
In just six years we notched up seven ranks and the credit for this goes to
the industrious people of India.
The report also states that despite inflation, prices in India are still well
below those in advanced economies.
According to news reports, India’s share in world
GDP in terms of Purchasing Power Parity was 6.4% in 2011 compared with China’s
14.9% and the US’s 17.1%. The ICP survey covered 199 economies.
Shri Modi claims that Indian economy is sinking but like his other claims this
time too, Shri Modi’s lies have been exposed.
