it's about horizontal scale. they can provision a LOT quite quickly and
diversely. as with everything, there can be downsides, of course.
A researcher or R&D might need a lot of metal quickly for a day/week.
That is what cloud is geared for. For day to day IT, where you know
what you need with no big surprises - cloud is the latest fad.
