I have the XFree86-4.1 version... no cvs for me (it would take ages to compile xfree86
on this laptop!)

I've tried the above two lines, which result in immediate and utter lockup...
resetting didn't help, i had to poweroff the machine before I could get back in X.

I really don't get it.

Is there any way to know for sure what is causing these lockups?

Thanks

DK
