I checked out and compiled xc tonight, and found a new strangeness that
may not be a known problem yet. Whenever I use XFree86 -configure
followed by -xf86config ~/XF86Config.new *OR* any SDL based application
(only running fullscreen) I get the wonderful melting screen effect and
get to hit the power button. Outside of that, my existing XFree86 config
file is working great, and I can live without my SDL based games until
it's fixed. Anyone else seen this, and know how to work around it?

I've had the problem running 1024x768 starting X, as well as 640x480 and
320x200 using SDL.

Configurations are attached (Symbol __glXActiveScreens is because it's
commented out in the config file intentionally, the problem persists
either way.).

Thanks in advance for looking into this issue,
-Andrew
