so they actually ARE neon bulbs? What part lights up? The whole large electrode? That's amazing. Does Dieter know about these? They probably would've made a neat comma for his CD47 clocks.

It's too bad that the seller took all four pictures from the same side
of the tubes. I'm guessing that there's a smaller disc (or ring or
something interesting) on the other side of the big disc, from which the
plasma emanates.
