Not really necessary but means he has 4 cylinders (with holes) rather
than only 2 (without holes) Would be a shame to see the rest go to
waste. AND\OR Tim you could always fit 2 ends with holes to a
cylinder, at least it's symetrical, just hate to see things go to
waste.

Will I have been looking on ebay (UK) lately, there are always some
old bakelite radios going cheap that would make some great cases, even
cooler if the (Valve) radio works too, Lots do! Also look in the
'collectables-radio & telephony' sections, in fact any collectables
section have some decent 'boxes' that with a bit of imagination could
make a cool nixie case.
