Hi,
Don't you need to bake this glass paint? At least on the Pebeo Vitrea 160 I 
have seen, it says it is a water based colour that becomes water resistant 
(dishwasher-safe) only after BAKING at 160 °C (325 °F).
Do nixies resist 160°C (and if yes for how long)
