This is for all out there in Neotek land-
I have a Series 1, and I have replaced some of the chips with BurrBrown 627's at the bottom of each channel, and in the master section. I kept the TL074's in the pre and EQ section of each channel. It made a stunningly wide sound stage. I was impressed. I am now recapping, and have done the master, power supply, and 1 channel, but I am using the original Nichicon's; and original values-with one exception: I am using WIMA 10uF MKS polypropolene series (they are brand new small designs) for the non-polars near the BB 627's. What I need to know is what caps to bypass, and what values to upgrade; and in what places. Can anyone give me any suggestions? It is an 16X8 motherboard '84 Series1, with 6 older 1E ribboned channels modified to molex. Thanks for any help----- Paul Sinclair
