Hey Mike, Send me the pics again so I can be more specific, but.....on the back of the board, you have those tiny little white boxes. There are 3 up and down and plenty left to right. Each set of three counts as an insert......each set of three is the same thing as an xlr, except that instead of on xlr on the end of the cable, you cut that connector off and you just insert the actual wires that are in the xlr connector. Trust me, I am not some gear nerd, so if I can do this, you can do it too. I will try to make a video of me doing it today and hopefully I will post it soon. If you want me to post it you are going to have to keep bugging me or I will forget, but it will make your life much easier.

What you have is pretty much stock....what came with it. The panel on the back might not be as convenient as an xlr, but it is pretty easy once you get a hang of it. You are going to have to get a "punch down" tool to insert the wires into their designated slots. I am pretty sure I have the same exact board as you, judging by the pictures. I would much prefer XLRs on the back, and the spare console I got with it has a 12 channel panel still on it, which I would like to use once I figure out why/how. The spare had the channel strips and electronics completely snipped and removed, so i get the idea how the XLRs would attach but because of all the patch work on the back of the good unit it makes me wonder whether or not this unit ever even had a regular mic plate... I don't know.
