That actually sounds like a good idea. I was worried about using anything else in the signal chain that might color the sound before it got to the strip. I guess a line mixer would not present any problems with that.

It worked, but when the second instrument was plugged in, I saw a drop in volume overall. I figure this is not the correct way to do what I want, and I'm sure there must be a way to have everything plugged into the board at once and just switch to what we want live at the time, if not everything during a jam session, etc...
