You can buy inlet/fuse/switch and even filter as complete assemblies and assuming you are happy with having the switch on that plate you are largely done. Look at Mouser Digikey etc catalogues. You MUST connect a thick ground wire from the inlet ground tag to a SEPARATE bolt with crinkle washers onto the metalwork to provide the first part of safety measures. Take the ground wire from the modules or wherever to another solder tag with ANOTHER nut / crinkle washers so that you cannot disconnect chassis ground accidentally. ALL metalwork of a box that is connected to the mains should have 'bond' wires or measures that ensure that EVERY metallic panel is securely grounded. Elektor magazine (and I expect others) will have a page detailing electrical safety and how to correctly wire the mains up. Fitting a PSU into a box with the modules is generally a bad idea as there is a distinct risk of hum unless it is a correctly orientated torroidal transformer.

periods of time) it seems the ideal AC inlet/P.E.M. would be 2 poles + ground, 
but that does not address power on/off, so this is the purpose of 4 pole AC 
inlets/P.E.M. right? with 2 poles it would be constant flow of current when 
plugged in so 4 poles are introduced to allow switched interruption in the 
circuit, or is that wrong?

3. Safely/properly grounding: am i correct in that once i find the right AC 
inlet/P.E.M. all should have to do is wire the green cable (labeled Module 
GND/chassis) to the proper pole on the AC inlet/P.E.M. and be done with it?

I know this is a 15 minute job but I've been hung up on these bits since July 
15!!! All I need is the correct info, directions to the correct info, or a 
confirmation that my conclusions are right...
