Hi Ike and Brian,
Thanks for the replies, I should have mentioned the F series C&K is what
we have been using as replacements thus far. I am looking for something
superior to those switches.
Does anyone on the list know what type of switches a new Neotek console
ships with these days?
Brian, is there any particular reason you fear for the future of the
current F series?
Cheers all,
Neil

Mouser has some stock of the "F" series switches:

They also have the ones with gold contacts, but OUCH on the price!!
I keep getting nervous about the future availability of "F" switches,
so grab what you need now...they MAY become made from Unobtanium in
the future.
Best,
Bri

Hi All
Well, we have been through a wringer of sorts over the years trying to
find high quality replacements for the 2 and 4 pole latching switches
found in the Elite (and other) series Neoteks.
The principle problem we encounter is the excessive force required to
actuate the switches, especially the 4 pole versions. Yet to find
anything that comes even close to the smooth and satisfying operation
of the grey and brown ALPS, now no longer manufactured.
Wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular series
distributed by CIT:

Alternative suggestions very welcome.
Thanks,
Neil Thomason
