The DataEngine will stay in memory as long as someone is using it.
I always kill plasma-desktop (kquitapp plasma-desktop)
and restart it, once I've installed a new version.
I can't seem to reproduce this hangup here.
Neither with nepomuk-core master or KDE/4.10
Or with/without the WebMiner
