Wow - didn't think that such a simple question could spark such a
debate :)

I was well aware that there are a lot of variables in doing a scan -
thanks for all the replies however.  I guess I'll have to do some
measuring.  I'll scan about 20 hosts in different places over the
course of a day and try and get some sort of average for our setup.

If anyone is interested i'll publish that to the list.  Naturally
this sort of test would need to be re-run every few months because of
additional plugins etc.

Most people forget that no is a valid answer. They were expecteing
you 
would say yes perhaps.

It's on the tasklist and will be handled after the lecture I have on 
saterday. (For which I need to do some more preparing.)
