i have had nessus installed for three months and have always started
nessusd by hand after boot with: nessusd -D

although the system running nessus goes down very rarely, I would like
nessusd to run at startup automatically. has anyone done this, or is
currently doing this. I have tried using a script in /etc/init.d/ and
then using update-rc.d to no avail.

if it matters i am running Debian Potato unstable.

thanks in advance,

josh
