Greetings all - I am having a problem with 2.0 of Nessus.
Whenever I start a detached scan, it appears to detach successfully, asking me if I want to save, then closes gracefully. But when I go back in, the session is dead. No email notification and the scan has ended without warning or error that I can identify, it seems to just hang. The kb does appear to contain partial results from the portscan (I assume it is the Nessus scan, as nmap synscans complete without issue outside the program). If I leave up the client I have no problems and the scan completes successfully. I saw postings about sendmail not being found, and verified that this is in the right place (plus, this has worked before under earlier versions of nessus a couple weeks ago) nessus.dump contains: [12057] nessus_get_socket_from_connection: bad fd <-1> [12152] nsend():send Bad file descriptor [12152] nsend : Bad file descriptor [12152] comm_send_status(7): receiving ACK failed! I had the same problem with the CVS from last week, so not sure if this is related to the new code or something on my machine. Thanks, Ben
