I had to manually fix these.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] init.d]# ./nessusd start

such file or directory
[FAILED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED] init.d]# ./nessusd start
Starting nessusd: /usr/local/sbin/nessusd: error while loading shared
libraries: libpcap-nessus.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory
[FAILED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED] init.d]# ./nessusd start
After I did
[EMAIL PROTECTED] lib]$ sudo ln -s libnessus.so.2.0.0 libnessus.so.1
Password:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] lib]$ sudo ln -s libhosts_gatherer.so.2.0.0
libhosts_gatherer.so.1
[EMAIL PROTECTED] lib]$ sudo ln -s libpcap-nessus.so.2.0.0
libpcap-nessus.so.1
nessusd finally ran.
nessus client is still producing this error
[EMAIL PROTECTED] temp]# nessus myuser mypass targets1.txt results.txt
nessus: error while loading shared libraries: libnessus.so.1: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
Have not had a chance to look at this problem yet.
