Sorry, maybe that this sounds like a very early beginner question:
I was successfully using at first 1.2.7 and now 2.0 version of nessus on a debian 3.0 box. Yesterday - with the "old version" - I configured a session by selecting some plugins. After trying to start the scan : nothing happens. Restarting the daemon and the client, updating plugins : same problem.
Did you upgrade with the packages I made? [1]Then you should use 2.0.0-2 packages (you might have 2.0.0-1) there are some bugs in them which make nessus runs fail. You can also remove the checkpointNG.nasl plugin (in /usr/lib/nessus/plugins) which seems to cause that issue.
