Hi Johan,

I have run it on Debian (unstable), Mandrake, Redhat, and NetBSD
(which uses a packages collection similar to FreeBSD's ports).

Never had a problem with any of them. I'm sure people use Solaris
and HP-UX as well but my OS of choice is Debian Linux.

Pick whichever OS you want. It doesn't really matter.
