Yes I would agree that this tester did not understand *nix very
well based on the statement at the end "lack of an automated
update service".  Um ... crontab -e?

In fact, this type of standard update method is refreshing after
wrestling with several proprietary update mechanisms that had
fun happy GUIs ... GUIs that I almost ruined by flinging my
chair through the monitor because they didn't work.  Thanks but
I'll stick with the ugly ol' cronjob script.
