I do intend to upgrade but I don't generally upgrade to new products immediately because I don't like being the person heading west in the covered wagon with a back full of arrows. After 20 years of computer industry experience I like to make sure that what I run is going to work first time in production. I haven't even had time to download any of the 1.3/2.0.x series and test them yet, let alone think about deploying them. It's only been about a month since we worked out the last of the bugs in the 1.2 plugins that stopped me from upgrading from 1.0.x and I just got 1.2.x deployed round all my machines on the day that you announced 2.0.0 was available.
I'm not about to upgrade them all again until I've tested 2.0.x and made sure that it works in my environment. I also need to let my management recover from the shock of finding that there were 3 times as many vulnerabilities discovered with 1.2.7 than there were with 1.0.10 ;-) -----Original Message----- From: Renaud Deraison [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 06 March 2003 15:41 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Nessus 1.2 update policy If you did not upgrade to Nessus 2.0 and don't intend to do so for some valid reason, I'd be interested in knowing why. Please upgrade, trust me, there's no coming back.
