Actually , I'm encountering the same problem today.

The current scan hangs at the same point  ("...launching nmap_wrapper.nes against [TARGET]...")

- ICMP Ping time average = 0.762 ms
- Attempted "nmap -v -v [TARGET]" as root
   - scan completed (system OS guess Linux 2.x) in less than 2 minutes

Manual investigation revealed that the system was an NT4 device running VNC installed in proxy mode

Is there any way I can get more debugging information in my Nessus logs?
