Clear picture of My Problem:
 
Actually in my HP-UX 11.11 Machine(PI),I donot have NMAP(I think,it is not installed),Leaving NMAP,my other 6 Scanning options available are
(I am using a Xmanager for the Client Nessus running)
     1.SYN Scan
     2.SNMP PortScan
     3.Ping the remote host
     4.Exclude toplevel domain wildcard host
     5.TCP Connect( ) Scan
     6.Scan for LaBrea tarpitted hosts
In the above options,If I specify,Ping the remote host option,
My machine's IP is 120.20.30.120
Suppose I specify another host's(connected in my local network) IP=120.20.30.126,Nessus throws out an empty Report

Suppose If I didnot enable the option,Ping the remote host,and enable any other 5 options given above,ie.enabling the
TCP Connect( ) Scan option,Scanning for 120.20.30.126 goes well,launching all pluggins

My Question:

   Why the Machine hangs,(even I am giving a Single IP,Nessus supposes to hang on HP-UX on alarger Scan)Is there any remedy to stop this Problem.
   Also please tell me,how to changes the Scan options setting while
testing inCommandline.
I know that  (./nessus -p -q localhost 1241 test1 test1),gives a list of plugins.But how to enable or disable the Scanning options
