I have had similar problem when I had more than
about 20 old scan results under a session; except
it was crashing when I tried to change the IP
address of the target.  The problem went away
after I deleted some of the older scan results.

See if this helps:

     Right click on the session,
     Select "Results",
     Delete some of the older scan results.
