Because Tenable owns the copyright on NASL. So it can grant you the
right to run a select set of non-GPL plugins with it (this has already
been covered in the past).

So NASL is dual licensed. When I was using nessus two month ago I was using nasl which I supposed was licensed to me under the GPL with Teneable's plugins which were under Tenable's license. Did I infringe the GPL?
