The report of command: " fgrep "prefix" ' which nessus-update-plugins' is:
grep: which nessus-update-plugins: No such file or directory
Are you running run the update as regular user or as root? Or are you
using sudo? The above looks like you _don't_ have /usr/sbin/ in your
PATH environment.
In the Debian packages nessus-fecth is in /usr/bin/ whileas
nessus-update-plugins in in /usr/sbin/.
