I have installed and run nessusd 3.0.0 several times now and run it
successfully.
I run it on my laptop which has several ethernet interfaces : 1
motherboard, 1 pcmia, 1 wifi and one in the docking station
Ran several times into trouble that nessusd did not want to start and
get a fatal error something like:
Sorry, this scanner seems to be using the plugin feed from another host
I have to de-install and re-install nessusd , with a new activationcode.
It seems that not the changing ip address is the reason for this
behaviour but using another hardware ethernet interface:
scenario: I install nessusd on my laptop in the docking station. - OK
Take the laptop out of the docking station and use the motherboard or
pcmia interface (using the same ip address) NOK :
Sorry, this scanner seems to be using the plugin feed from another
host [FAILED]
Is this documented somewhere ? workaround ? (without reinstalling -
installing )?
