For anyone who has ever been involved with children, either as a parent or educator, this article should really make an impression (hopefully it will make an impression on all mature adults). ********* A growing number of British teenagers are posting pictures of themselves on the web in return for gifts from strangers. David Rowan reports on the 'camgirls'. <http://www.observer.co.uk/focus/story/0,6903,750840,00.html> ********* If you like to read news stories in the field of education, sign up for our Education News email list. It is called Independent Study and is available from Prufrock Press in Waco, Texas. It includes a teacher guide, a student booklet and a set of many cards color coded for the different kinds of thinking required for the projects. Helps kids think, ask questions, then look for answers and gives direction to independent study projects. Available from Prufrock Press online at http://www.prufrock.com Click online shopping, then select "creative thinking", click the next arrow about twice to come to the Independent Study listing. The cards are a wonderful resource.
