I created a

disk / 50%

entry and a

monitor -r 60 -o dskDevice -o dskErrorMsg "disky" dskErrorFlag != 0

entry in snmpd.conf

I did:

kill -HUP 20438

(20438 was snmpd's PID) and when I did a walk it returned:

Error:  OID not increasing:
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteGriggerComment."snmpd.fon".'disky'
>=DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteTriggerComment."snmd.conf".'disky'

DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteTriggerComment."snmd.conf".'disky' = STRING
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteTriggerComment."snmd.conf".'disky' = STRING

I take it I need to stop and start the daemon each time I change a disk
entry? I thought we supported -HUP.
