Bruce> README/FAQ material?
Wes> Probably. Got text?
Not so fast, Wes! :-)
Before we start putting together the answer to a FAQ,
can we please be clear as to what the question actually *is* ?
Bruce's original posting feels a little too specific to
qualify, IMO. So what's the underlying question that
needs an explanation?
Wes> There is probably a lot of configuration tokens
Wes> that don't have free_* assignments....
So maybe we need to think about providing them?
And/or detecting duplicate tokens - particularly when
they're used as index values. Otherwise we'd presumably
be bitten by a pair of config settings such as:
monitor -r 60 -o dskDevice -o dskErrorMsg "disky" dskErrorFlag != 0
monitor -r 60 -o whatever "disky" hrDeviceStatus != 2
-a hrDeviceType == hrDeviceDiskStorage
Unless it already handles this?
Dave
